Privacy Policy
Effective date: to be set at launch
Placeholder notice: This Privacy Policy is a placeholder draft written specifically for RosterBound Athlete Services and is distinct from the Privacy Policy governing rosterbound.com. This document must be reviewed and finalized by counsel prior to launch.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how RosterBound Athlete Services ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and shares information about visitors, athletes, parents and guardians, and other users of nil.rosterbound.com and the services described on it (the "Services"). It applies only to the Services and is separate from the privacy policy governing the RosterBound recruiting platform at rosterbound.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide: contact details (athlete and, where applicable, parent or guardian), sport, school, grade or graduation year, and information you share with us through forms, messages, or during an engagement.
Optional information you provide: social media profile links (X, Instagram, TikTok) and a photo, submitted voluntarily to help us evaluate brand fit — these are never required to submit an inquiry or become a client.
Account information: if you create an account on this site, we collect the information associated with that account. Accounts on this site are independent of any account on the RosterBound recruiting platform.
Internal records: our team may record additional information as part of managing an engagement, such as physical attributes relevant to certain brand or sponsor opportunities, and internal notes from conversations or correspondence. This information is visible only to authorized staff and is never publicly displayed.
Usage data: standard log information about your interaction with the site (pages viewed, timestamps, general device information).
3. How we use information
We use information to operate the Services; to communicate with you; to evaluate, negotiate, and administer NIL and related opportunities; to coordinate with schools and counsel where required; to comply with legal and compliance obligations; and to improve the Services.
4. Minors
Where the athlete is under the age of majority, we collect and process information about the athlete only with a parent or guardian's involvement. Guardians may review or withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.
5. Sharing
We share information with (a) counsel and compliance professionals engaged to support an athlete, (b) schools and conferences where notification is required, (c) brand partners and counterparties for specific opportunities you have authorized, and (d) service providers acting on our behalf under confidentiality obligations. We do not sell personal information.
6. Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services and to comply with legal, compliance, and record-keeping obligations.
7. Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information subject to applicable law and to any compliance record-keeping obligations we are required to maintain.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No system is perfectly secure.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
10. Contact
